One of the questions we enjoyed discussing was what to do when your interviewer– and the team you’ll be joining– is younger than you are, My advice? Physically demonstrate your facility with the spectrum of technologies available by having not only an email address and land line number on your resume and business card, but also a mobile number, a skype number, and a link to your website and/or your blog/Twitter account. If your interviewer begins by asking “Where shall we start?” you might say, “Maybe by talking about the fact that I’m older than the majority of the team here– and here’s what my experience enables me to contribute.” Institutional memory combined with cutting edge technological knowledge is a winning combination!
